Oregon men win NCAA Indoor

Bacause of covid both the 2021 NCAA indoor and cross country Championships are being contested in the same week how that affect the teams who know..

FAYETTEVILLE– The U of O's  Men won 6 individual events on the way to winning the 2021 NCAA indoor Track title of Oregon won the 2021 
The Ducks scored 79 points,  
Oregon's Women's team scored 14 points. with 10 points from Kemba Nelsons win in the 60 metes and a collegiate record of 7.05.

Aneta Konieczek was 7th in the mile and Emily Sloan was 7th in the 60 meter hurdles 

 Friday the men won the distance-medley relay in the second fastest  collegiate time only behind their own time from a couple of weeks ago.

 Cole Hocker won the mile in a record 3.53.71 and Reed Brown was 5th

Then Hocker came back on the track an hour later to beat out his teammate  Cooper Teare they went 1-2 in the 3000  In a tight race 7:46.15 with Teare finishing in 7:46.23 

Charlie Hunter, a member of Friday's victorious DMR, won the 800 meters.  passed Mclear from Ohio right at the finish line to win in 1:45.90, just .01 ahead of McLear 

Micah Williams matched his PR of 6.49 to win the 60 meters.
Emmanuel Ihemeje put on a show winning the triple jump, ranked 6th he finished with a day's best of 17.26m/56-7.5 to improve upon his own school record and move into a tie for the No. 6 performer in collegiate history. Ihemeje is the first NCAA triple jump champion in program history.

Arkansas women won the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on their home turf by 9 points over Texas A & M 68 to 57 The Razorbacks didn’t win any events single but scored in   10 events. their 68 points was the second-highest score in meet history, behind only the 84 logged by Oregon’s triple crown winners of 2017.
